I went down to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve on Labor Day. I met up with my friends Charles and Tina who are visiting from Florida. We went hiking in the dunes. Instead of hiking to the top of High Dune, which we had done before and is the most popular destination, we decided to hike deeper into the dune fields. It was quite interesting hike to be surrounded by dunes and not seeing anybody else close by. Here are the pictures.

Cool pic's. Looks like you had a fun day.
I hope the sand people left you alone.
Love your photos. Look for a special program on pbs called Sacred Earth. The photography is breathtaking--its shot in the southwest and includes the Great Sand Dunes as a location.
