Road Trippin'

The Colorado Rapids played their arch rival Real Salt Lake this past Saturday in Sandy, Utah. The Rapids supporters make this an annual road trip. I met up with them in Salt Lake. We had a blast at the tailgate and game. Click here for an article by the supporter's group that I'm associated with. Here are a couple of videos that I shot of some of the events.

The Rapids almost pulled off the victory. Real Salt Lake scored in the 93rd minute to tie the game up at 1-1. The game was over a minute later. It was a bit heartbreaking to miss out on the win in that way. In reality, the draw was a good result for Colorado. Real Salt Lake has not lost a game at home this year. They meet again in Colorado on October 23rd, which is the last game of the regular season. It should be a good one.

On the way home, I stopped off at Colorado National Monument. I basically just drove through the park and stopped off at a few overlooks. It was kind of scouting trip to see what was there. It made a nice break on the drive back. The park is small, but nice. I think it will be worth it to come back and see what the place looks like away from the road. Here are a few pictures.

I thought you would like Colorado National Monument. We went on three of the short hikes a few years back.

Be sure to watch the movie filmed at CO NM before you go there again. American Flyer? Glad you had a good trip even if the Rapids didn't win. Love, Mom.
