Misty Mountain Hop

Monday, May the 5th was a bank holiday in the UK. So I still had Jim and family with me for most of the day. We started the morning off by driving to the Glenfinnan viaduct. We wanted to check out the viaduct from the ground. It is actually a better way to see the viaduct and take pictures. Of course the misty rain made it difficult to take pictures and keep the camera dry.

After Glenfinnan, we drove back to Fort William and visited the ruins of Old Inverlochy Castle. The castle dates back to the 13th century.

After the Castle, we did a tour of Ben Nevis Distillery to get out of the rain. We ate lunch at the Grog and Gruel again. The Wild Boar Burger is pretty good. We left Fort William after lunch. We drove south through the misty rain to Crianlarich. The drive was still pretty despite the clouds and rain.

I got dropped off in Crianlarich. Everybody else went back to Dunfermline. It was time to start my own adventure without those meddling kids.

Scotland weather: 80% chance of overcast or rain. Bet those meddling kids missed you after you left. And bet you missed them to. Nice accommodations.
